Just a bit of background about Katy Ryan. She studied Cosmetology at the Aveda Institute in Soho, NY. She worked for years at The Marie Robinson Salon honing her talents working side-by-side with celebrity colorists Marie Robinson and Bryan Thomson-DiPalma. Working on high-profile clients such as Bette Midler, Lily Collins, Tory Burch, Patti Hansen, Mary Louise Parker, and many more. Later Katy joined the team of Lasio Studios(now Keratin Lounge) as the Head Colorist and one of their Master Keratin Specialists. Not only has she been working with keratins for over 7yrs, but is knowledgable with all things keratin. There is such an array of different formulas and brands that is important to be in the hands of someone who knows what is going to work best for your hair, and desired results. She is also highly trained in the art of dry cutting and cutting curly hair. Katy has a deep belief in cutting according to texture, movement, and your individual look. Her skills were written about in the March issue of Marie Claire Magazine in 2017. Not only does she love everything hair, but is an active person in so many areas. Mother, athlete, outdoors woman, business woman, and traveler. These interests lend a deep understanding of what a person’s hair goes through when engulfed in many of life’s daily adventures. Whether it’s the way you prep your hair for work, how many days you are doing hot yoga, or if you simply do not have time between running the kids around town. It all matters. These things affect the health and look of your hair. Katy launched Katy Ryan Studios in 2015 to give people a comfortable place to open up about their hair needs. In 2024 Katy decided to bring her artistry to Colorado, as well as continuing to work in NYC. She also is working her hair magic in other places as well.
